- How to play El Ritmo del Diablo on a box drum. You're right, it's probably not called a box drum.
- I'm not as adept at Spanish as I had thought.

Things I have learned:

number one
So, I've made this as a way to communicate to large quantities of people at once. Get it? It will be like my emotions are shooting straight through my fingertips and into your hearts. In 24 hours I leave the LAX airport, sleep through a huge layover in beautiful Fort Lauderdale and land in Lima on Monday night! I left Portland two weeks ago and finally feel ready.
Northern California: Picked up a hitchhiker named Shiva and his pitbull, Trogdor. Jai and Shiva balanced my gigantic snake tank on their laps for 45 miles. Oakland was beautiful and I got to peak into the lives of one of my soul mates and all her new habitat inhabitants. We went to a show, a weird rave party fundraiser for Mutant Fest, talked until the sun came up both nights.
Southern California: My sister-in-law and I found a point of interest of which I felt was constructing and she felt was deconstructing. I bring this up because it is a good representation of my time in my hometown, Costa Mesa. Realizing all of the changes I have made in the past years came along with falling back into old habits. Bird and I experienced sensory depravation for the first time (since utero or maybe just the night before). We went to a place in Venice Beach, talked to a man named Crash. I felt the simple purifying peace that comes with remembering that you are a part of everything and that you can be everything or nothing if you so choose.
Bird in Venice Beach:
Hasta luego!
